To All Students of Graduate School of Engineering and Faculty of Engineering: The activity restriction level will be eased to Level 2 from March 22

 According to the state of emergency in response to the Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), which was earlier declared by the Japanese government, being lifted in Japan, the activity restriction level of Graduate School of Engineering and Faculty of Engineering will be eased to Level 2 from Monday March 22, 2021. Please keep in mind that the situation may change.
 Research activities will continue to be handled as follows from Monday March 22. In principle, students who do not conduct research activities should refrain from entering the campus. When carrying out other on- and off-campus activities, please act responsibly.
 Lectures, etc. from April will be handled as follows.

 We will post up-to-date information on the TUAT website, etc., so please check it frequently.

● Research activities
 We will allow laboratory activities under certain conditions according to the "Policies of Faculty/Graduate School of Engineering on Activity Restrictions for Preventing the Spread of COVID-19". To conduct laboratory activities, students are still required to fill out the "Confirmation of Laboratory Activities" form in advance and to follow the instructions from the supervisors.
 It is strongly recommended that students, who use public transportation to commute to university, commute to university during the staggered hours, etc.
(From Monday, March 8, third-year undergraduates who have been assigned to a laboratory will be allowed to participate in laboratory activities under the above conditions as well.)
 For other matters, please comply with the contents described in Level 2 of the Policy on Activity Restrictions.

● Job recruitment
 Please carry out your job recruitment activities while you continue to comply with the policies/guidelines set forth by the University, National Government of Japan, Tokyo Metropolitan Government and related local governments in the area; and to take all possible measures to prevent the spread of infection.

● Behavior on and off campus
 Please continue to pay attention to how you act and be responsible for your actions such as by refraining from taking a meal with multiple people regardless of location - on and off campus, in a restaurant, or at home.

◎Although it is a spring graduation season, please consider refraining from activities (farewell parties, graduation trips, etc.) that may lead to the spread of infection.
 If you are confirmed with COVID-19, you will have to spend valuable time on isolation and recuperation, and it may have a significant impact on your education and career path from April and onwards. Please think carefully before you act and act with caution.

● Extra-curricular activities
 Please follow the policies of TUAT.

※Please continue to act in accordance with guidelines from National Government of Japan and local governments even after the state of emergency was lifted.
