Message from the Dean
The Diversity of Agriculture Will Give Rise to the Creativity Needed to Inspire the Next Generation
Faculty in the field of agriculture handles the Institute of Agriculture's education and research. Agriculture is a science that supports the connection between nature and people, and whose major mission is to take on key challenges related to the very existence of humanity, including food and resources, the environment, the world's population and infectious diseases. The range of agriculture is extensive. In the midst of agriculture's great diversity, we need to understand each other's specializations, respect each other, and use our own uniqueness to create new proposals for international society and provide important guidelines for pioneering the next generation. Scholarly pursuits, deeply rooted in expertise amidst diversity, are the basis of creativity. Creative, high-level research results with a broad perspective also lead to high-quality education for students. It is my hope that through their activities in the field of agriculture, faculty and students will fully demonstrate their abilities, serve as the core of creative activities, and proactively make contributions to academic research and society.
