Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology and Technology New Graduate School Course Overview
Predictive Informatics Course
We will work on information gathering using innovative measurement and digital technologies, advanced information processing, analysis and management based on the latest mathematics, data science and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, and the development of predictive technology based on diverse information. In addition, we aim to solve social issues and create new knowledge in areas such as food and agriculture, mobility, energy, health and the environment by implementing practical education and research in collaboration with various organizations both in Japan and overseas on the knowledge essential to a digital society.
Natural Resources and Energy Science Course
This program aims to acquire advanced technologies and related specialist knowledge in the field of resource and energy science, which is deeply connected to a wide range of fields such as chemistry, physics, mechanics, and electricity, and contributes to solving resource and energy problems while taking into account harmony with the global environment and sustainability. By learning and utilizing mathematics, data science, and AI, students will also develop the ability to promote data-driven research and development towards the development of new functional substances and materials, power generation and storage devices, and energy-saving technologies, and their integration into energy systems.
Health and Wellness Science Course
Students will acquire advanced technologies and related specialist knowledge in areas such as biomedical sensing, robotics, electronics, computing, and cognitive science, which are the foundations of human and bioengineering and healthcare technologies that support health and welfare. They will also engage in dynamic interdisciplinary research through the use of mathematics, data science, and AI, and through collaboration with researchers and experts in a wide range of fields, in order to create new technological knowledge that will lead to the promotion of healthy lives and welfare for all people, and to apply it to solving global health issues.
Food and Environmental Science Course
In order to build a sustainable society, students will acquire advanced technologies and related specialist knowledge in fields such as soil science, botany, entomology, environmental chemistry, and materials chemistry that contribute to environmentally friendly food production and resource circulation, as well as the ability to pioneer new fields through collaboration with mathematics, data science, and AI. Based on their deepened specialist knowledge and comprehensive interdisciplinary knowledge, the program cultivates talent who will create concepts and technologies that support rich food and the environment, and ultimately people's sense of purpose in life, and contribute to local and international communities.
Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Graduate School of Advanced Interdisciplinary Sciences (Master's Course)
In order to strengthen its function of cultivating highly skilled professionals, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology will be reorganizing Graduate School of Bio-Applications and Systems Engineering (Master's course and integrated doctoral course) to establish a new graduate school, Graduate School of Advanced Interdisciplinary Science (Master's course)* in April 2025..
*A doctoral course is scheduled to be established in the 2027 academic year in line with the progress of the academic year.
Entrance Exams
