Division of Advanced Health Science Overview

We conduct cutting-edge research into human motor functions, sensory and cognitive functions, and bodily structure as a foundation for engineering research aimed at creating things that are kind to both the environment and people.
Furthermore, we are conducting applied research focusing on various health issues in modern society, such as measurement research on changes in bodily functions and structure that adapt to the environment, research on the interface between "things" and "people," research on the application and evaluation of engineering and medical findings to humans, biomechanics research on sports movements and sports equipment, development of sports learning support tools, evaluation of physical and mental workload, measures to prevent human error, research on the development of lifestyle assistive devices to prevent motor function injuries, and research on human cognitive dysfunction and social behavior, including memory, consciousness, and learning.
