[Important] Beware of suspicious people on campus!

To all students

Recently, there have been incidents of suspicious persons approaching students on and around Fuchu university campuses.
Suspicious people are pretending to be university officials and calling out to them, asking for directions and exchanging contact information.

Summary of the case
・Male, in his late 20s, looks like a student at first glance
・Shoulder pochette, glasses, light clothing
・Call yourself a 4th year student at our university Faculty of Engineering
・Ask for directions and accompaniment to the station
・Forcibly hold hands and persistently ask for a LINE exchange
・Trying to find out the student's name, personal information such as faculties and laboratories
・Sometimes invite them to talk for a long time in less popular places or parks

Points to note
- When traveling alone, pay attention to your surroundings
・Do not easily give directions or personal information to strangers
・If a suspicious person forcibly approaches you, immediately move to a crowded place or to a place where there are university staff or security guards.
If you feel something is suspicious, contact the university without hesitation.
