How to Apply for a Certificate (Graduates)
◆ Issuance fee
1) Graduation certificate, completion certificate, academic transcript, enrollment certificate, degree conferral certificate, certificate of academic ability (related to teacher training courses)

◆Certificate Issuance Fee Collection System Usage Fee (hereinafter referred to as "System Usage Fee")
The system usage fee will be borne by the Alumni Association if you agree to provide the personal information entered into the system to the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Alumni Association.
If you do not agree to provide your personal information, please click the "Confirmation Items; Uncheck the "Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology agree to provide information to the Alumni Association about the personal information you have entered".
In that case, a system usage fee (*) will be required in addition to the issuance fee.
*Payment system usage fee: The following usage fees will be charged depending on the total amount of the issuance fees.

[Important Notes Regarding Application]
① If you wish to request an English certificate, please submit a copy of your passport to the relevant department's office, or send it by mail, fax, or email.
② If you need to issue a certificate in a specified format, please contact the counter before applying through the system.
③ When applying for a visa to travel abroad, it may be necessary to include information about your degree. The Japanese versions of graduation certificates and completion certificates do not include information about your degree. If you require information about your degree, please apply for either a degree conferral certificate, an English version of your graduation certificate, or an English version of your completion certificate at the same time.
④ If you are applying for both a certificate corresponding to item 1) and a certificate corresponding to item 2) in the "◆Issuance Fee" section above, please indicate in the [Remarks] field of the application system that you are applying for a certificate corresponding to item 2). (A separate application procedure for item 2) is required.)
⑤ If you are applying for a certificate issued under your surname at the time of enrollment, please submit documents that can confirm the change of surname (such as a copy of your family register issued within the last three months, a copy of the remarks section on the front and back of your driver's license, or a copy of the name change section in your pension book).
[Important Notes Regarding Payment]
① If you wish to have it mailed to a domestic address, please pay the postage fee (Letter Pack Light 430 yen).
② If you wish to have your item mailed to an overseas address, a university staff member will contact you regarding the shipping method, postage, etc., so you do not need to make a payment through the system.
③ Please note that all paid issuance fees, postage, and system usage fees are non-refundable.
If you are a graduate or postgraduate student who has advanced to the university through internal transfer or other means and is currently enrolled at the university, you can obtain certificates free of charge from the automated certificate issuing machine, including the paid certificates mentioned in 1). Please note that we cannot issue refunds if you mistakenly apply through the system via the URL on this page and pay the issuance fee and postage.
◆ How to receive your certificate
1) Pick up at the counter

We do not handle counter services on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, during the summer holidays (mid-August), during the New Year holidays, and on the day of and the day before the individual academic ability test (or the preceding weekday if the day before is a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday).
② Receipt by an agent at the counter
While collection is generally required in person, if an agent comes to collect the item, please bring the following three items.
- A copy of the applicant's official identification document.
- Official identification of the representative

2) Receiving by mail
① If sending to a domestic address, please pay the postage fee (Letter Pack Light 430 yen) in advance through the system.
② If you wish to have the certificate sent by mail to an overseas address, after submitting your application through the system, a university staff member will contact you regarding the mailing method, postage, etc. Please follow the instructions provided.
3) Type of certificate and issuance fee; number of days required from payment confirmation to issuance (the number of days required may vary slightly depending on the department applying).
Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, summer holidays (mid-August), year-end and New Year holidays, and the day of and the day before the individual academic ability test (or the preceding weekday if the day before is a Saturday, Sunday, or national holiday) are excluded from the required number of days.
Please note that issuance may take longer during Golden Week.

4) If you wish to change your surname or given name
If your name or other details have changed since graduation, completion of studies, or withdrawal from the school, and you wish to have your student record issued with your current name, you will need to have your student record updated.
After submitting an application through the system, Name change notification Please sign and seal the document, along with a document that can verify the change of surname/given name (one of the following: a copy of your family register issued within the last three months, a copy of the remarks section on the front and back of your driver's license, or a copy of the name change section in your pension book).
