Innovative Medical Research Area
outline
The Innovative Medical Research Area aims to create medical and veterinary technologies that will open up the next generation by integrating various academic fields such as veterinary medicine, animal science, life science, and engineering. Challenges related to human and animal health and welfare are becoming increasingly complex, and interdisciplinary efforts beyond one field are essential to solve them. In this area, we are conducting research on new diagnostic and therapeutic methods that are directly related to clinical practice, and we are promoting "translational research" that is useful for both humans and animals. In addition, we have established a system to connect research results to actual clinical practice, centered on Koganei Animal Medical Emergency Center, and have formed a circular academic center that reduces issues that arise from the field to research. In addition, as an international hub for brain circulation, we actively collaborate with researchers around the world to contribute to solving global issues facing society. The Innovative Medical Research Area will envision the future of veterinary medicine and disseminate new knowledge and technologies that can be widely applied to human medicine.
