In the QS World University Rankings 2026 for Agriculture and Forest Sciences, our university was ranked 41st in the world (1st in Japan).

Our university was ranked 41st in the world, 1st in Japan, and 6th in Asia in the Agriculture and Forestry field of the "World University Rankings 2026" published by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a UK-based global university ranking organization.
This surpasses the results for 2025 (49th in the world, 3rd domestically, 10th in Asia), representing an even higher ranking than before.
In particular, our academic reputation ranking is outstanding within Japan, demonstrating the high level of research capabilities and international recognition our university has in the fields of agriculture and forestry science.
In addition to our long-standing track record in education and research, our university has pursued multifaceted initiatives, including the development of diverse educational and research activities in the fields of agriculture and forestry science, the promotion of educational and research projects that integrate agriculture and engineering, the proactive dissemination of research results, the strengthening of collaboration with other universities, research institutions, and industry, and active international collaborative research and the acceptance of international students. We believe that these efforts have been comprehensively evaluated and have led to our high global reputation.
Going forward, we will continue to enhance our educational and research activities in agriculture and engineering, and strive to cultivate outstanding individuals who can thrive in the international community.
