Request for Cooperation Around the New Year Holiday Season

December 15, 2020

CHIBA Kazuhiro
President of Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT)
Head of TUAT Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Response Headquarter

To all current students,

This year has been an extremely unordinary one that we have never experienced, and it has brought us worries and inconvenience.
I think many people may be feeling anxious from day to day as there are still many restrictions on our daily lives due to the spread of COVID-19.
As you know, the situation of the COVID-19 spread is still unpredictable, and a number of important events will be concentratively held at TUAT after the New Year holidays, such as the periodical examinations, dissertation defenses, etc. as well as a series of university entrance examinations for prospective students. All the organizers, participants and non-participants must take the utmost care in ensuring that these important events can be carried out smoothly, as these may mark a significant milestone for the students in their daily studies and research activities. I kindly request all current students to read carefully the notification on the COVID-19 response dated November 20, 2020 and “Precautions to Be Taken In Winter Season” dated December 12, 2020 which were announced by the Trustee for Education/Vice-President of TUAT. I also ask you to raise awareness on infection prevention as much as possible and continue to take good care of yourselves during the New Year holiday season as well.
In spite of having to deal with many restrictions in your daily lives, I wish you all a happy new year.
