| Business Content | You will be engaged in research activities related to the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B) project, "Reaction Pathway Exploration: Development of Data-Driven Methods for Multi-Component Non-Stationary Systems." This research aims to understand and predict the selectivity of reaction pathways and functional expression in microbial communities based on chemical reaction networks and thermodynamic constraints. Main job duties: Development of reaction pathway exploration methods based on chemical and microbial reaction networks - Design and implementation of reaction system calculation packages - Construction and analysis of mathematical models - Processing, integrating, and visualizing large-scale data - Publication of research results in academic papers and presentations at academic conferences Furthermore, depending on the applicant's expertise and interests, it is possible to conduct metagenomic and omics data analysis or expand into related fields. |

| Eligibility requirements(※) | • Must possess a doctoral degree (including those expected to obtain one). • Specialty field: Computational biology, computational chemistry, mathematical biology, computer science, environmental science, or related fields Required skills: - Experience in data analysis and programming using Python or R - Experience writing research findings as an English-language academic paper (or equivalent ability) • Preferred qualifications (not required, but desirable): - Research experience or interest in chemical reaction networks, thermodynamic calculations, and metabolic modeling. - Experience in metagenomic and omics data analysis - Development and analysis experience in a Linux environment - Capable of supporting simple experiments such as field sampling. • Desired candidate profile: We are looking for someone who can proactively drive a part of the research and lead the publication of papers. |
