"Students, universities, and society work together to create innovation"

Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology promotes activities to produce outstanding human resources who can lead social activities in a wide range of fields, not limited to academic research. Inheriting the philosophy of the "Career Path Support Center Project" and the "Agroinnovation Advanced Human Resource Development Center Project" that have been implemented so far, "Innovation Advancement Organization" was established in Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology in April 22 with the goal of fostering human resources who can make proposals for technological innovation, industry creation, and social policy proposals related to various issues of the 21st century, such as food, water resources, the environment, population, and infectious disease control.

"Innovation" is proposing new values to the world and realizing their realization in society. To put it more simply, I think it is making an effort to have one's research results, ideas, beliefs, etc. accepted by society, which ultimately leads to the joy of many people, the continuous profits of companies, and the construction of a new social system. The important thing at this time is to think carefully to the final destination and to have the attitude of working together to realize it. "Realizing society" is a simple word, but in reality it requires deep insight, social skills, and fundamental strengths such as personal charm, foresight, strategy, and passion. I believe that everyone has these abilities essentially, and that they can also be developed. I think the important thing is for universities to work seriously with society to produce young people who are willing to develop these abilities, increase the number of people who share the same goal, and work together to work together.

In order to create opportunities for students to play an active role in the future, the "Innovation Advancement Organization" aims to clarify the motivation for students to broaden, demonstrate, explore, and learn their abilities, and to actively promote the development and implementation of new educational programs that involve faculty, staff, and society. Naturally, promoting the realization of innovation is an endeavor that goes beyond the university. We would like to achieve our goals with the understanding and support of many people inside and outside the university, so we would appreciate your cooperation.
