My general area of interest is analytical prediction of machining process, modeling of mechanics in milling and turning processes, and optimized machining operations through advanced CAD/CAM and simulation techniques. This includes
1) 2D/3D Finite Element Modeling of machining process focusing on property of finished surface layer and tool life.
2) High Speed milling of hard material or new material.
3) Dry cutting or MQL, which is environmental conscious machining technology.
4) Ultra Precision Machining and its Finite Element Analysis.
5) CAD/CAM system development for High Speed Machining of dies and molds.
