3-5 September, 2008, Zagreb, Croatia Invited Session (IS36): Intelligent Data Processing in Process Systems and Plants |
The special session aims to cover recent practical applications of the intelligent data processing techniques in various process systems and plants. The session also covers recent advances in intelligent data processing by fuzzy, neural, wavelets, genetic algorithms, agent systems, and a hybrid of various techniques, in the practical area.
Topics of the Special Session cover, but are not limited to:
- Intelligent monitoring and soft sensors of process data.
- Data mining and diagnosis in complicated process systems and plants.
- Intelligent control of process plants.
- Novel method for computer aided design of process systems.
- Novel modeling and simulation based on process data.
- Novel planning and scheduling in process and plant operations.
Papers must submitted for review through the web (http://www.prosemanager1.co.uk/kes2008is/submitpaper.asp). Please click here for the PROSE paper submission page and select IS36 for our session. When formatting papers, please refer to the Springer-Verlag web site, and strictly follow the Instructions to LNCS Authors. Please note that the required paper length is eight pages in Springer format. Papers longer than this will be subject to a penalty charge. Papers very much longer or shorter than the required length may be rejected. All papers will be strictly reviewed by at least two experts in the field. After the review process, the final camera ready paper must be sent by post with copyright transfer form.
The session papers will be published by Springer-Verlag in Lecture Notes in AI as part of the LNCS/LNAI series. Extended versions of selected papers will be considered for publication in the KES Journal (International Journal of Knowledge-Based and Intelligent Engineering Systems).
