Research
In the Department of Mechanical Systems Engineering at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, there are over 30 laboratories where state-of-the-art research is carried out in a variety of fields ranging from the traditional engineering fields of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, manufacturing, control theory, materials science and mechanics, to the modern fields of tribology, systems engineering, robotics, and optical engineering. In addition, some of our faculty members are affiliated with the Graduate School of Bio-Applications and Systems Engineering (BASE) and some others are engaged in cooperative research projects with the JR Railway Technical Research Institute.
