Postgraduate Education
Flexible Curriculum
As is the case with the undergraduate curriculum, our graduate school curriculum is quite flexible. In the graduate school, you can study and explore topics of interest to you in greater depth.
Broad Range of Research Areas
A wide variety of research areas can be investigated at the Graduate School of Mechanical Systems Engineering at our Koganei campus. In addition, some of our faculty members are affiliated with the Graduate School of Bio-Applications and Systems Engineering (BASE) and some others are engaged in cooperative research projects with the JR Railway Technical Research Institute. These cooperative arrangements give you an opportunity to broaden your education, and to pursue a research project that really interests you.
Emphasis on Practical Education
In addition to the class credit requirement for a degree in Mechanical Engineering, we also provide for practical aspects of your education. For instance, there are mid-term presentations with an opportunity to get feedback and guidance from faculty members. We aim to produce many talented and trained students who can make significant contributions to society soon after graduating.
