My lab researches precision machining and processing which supports manufacturing. For example, processing the molding surface of the die for the mass production of digital cameras' aspheric lens. Using knowledge from electrochemistry we can easily process very hard metals through electrochemical machining. Current, we are also researching on shape measurement of silicon wafers --the fabrication boards for semi-conductions-- which are today ubiquitous in all kinds of machineries.
Twenty years ago I myself was a foreign student in Japan. I worked in Japan's industries for seven years, after obtaining my degree from this school. I have experienced the frustrations, hardships, and pleasures of a foreign student's life. So feel free to consult me if you have any problems.
