Veterinary Clinic

The Veterinary Clinic offers opportunities for clinical study and education to the faculty and students of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Agriculture. Diagnosis and treatment are available to outpatients and animals belonging to the university. The facility is designed mainly for diagnosis and treatment of small animals, but is also provided with some equipment for medium-sized and large animals. The clinic is the home to the departments of Internal Medicine, Surgery and Reproduction. Professors of these department as well as full-time professor of the Veterinary Clinic take an active part in practice.
Besides giving diagnoses and treatment, the clinic contributes to veterinary education, especially to clinical training. Its high-performance diagnostic and therapeutic equipment such as CT scanners, creates a perfect environment for advanced research; moreover, the clinic is fully equipped with a positive pressure surgery room for sophisticated treatments. Work performed on skin, circulation, ear and eye related diseases, in particular, are excellent. The combination of all these factors enables the clinic to make a major contribution to the research in Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology's Department of Veterinary Medicine and in the United Graduate School of Veterinary Science based at Gifu University.
