Nature and Science Museum Overview

The Nature and Science Museum holds an extensive collection of academically valuable material, which has played a leading role in student and industrial education across a spectrum of eras. It holds collections of samples and implements related to silk cultivation, reeling and machine weaving, as well as large textile machines such as the spinner and the automatic reeling machine. Furthermore, it holds over 500 ukiyoe woodblock prints depicting silk cultivation from the Edo Period to the Meiji Period, through which one can experience the history of textile science and technology.
