About the Graduate School Organization
Graduate Schools are places where students further strengthen their abilities to set research goals, identify research tasks and discern solutions for their tasks based on the basic knowledge acquired in their undergraduate study. Students are also offered training opportunities to acquire better communication and presentation abilities to demonstrate their research tasks.

The TUAT Graduate School Organization is made up of three departments, referred to as “Gakufu” in Japanese (the Graduate School of Engineering, the Graduate School of Agriculture and the Graduate School of Bio-applications and Systems Engineering), and one research institute as well as postgraduate courses offered at the United Graduate School of Agricultural Science and the Graduate School of Technology Management.
Gakufu is an academic center in which students are members, while the Research Institute is a research organization in which teaching staff are members. This structure was established when the University was reorganized in April, 2004 with primary emphasis on the Graduate Schools. Those who graduate from the TUAT Department of Veterinary Medicine can advance to the United Graduate School of Veterinary Medicine at Gifu University.
