| For the purpose of making researches in science and technology to effectively utilize unused scleroprotein (collagen, keratin and others, chef elements of shin and hair of animals), Scleroprotein and Leather Research Institute was established in 1969. At present 7 staff members in 2 divisions are engaged in researhers setting the goal at elucidation, control and use of biofunction mainly related to scleroprotein at the lebel of individuals, oranges, tissues, cells and genes and also at use of theirrelevant products. The institute takes its share of curricula of the department of biological product, the department of veterinary medicine, the department of applied biological science and the department of environmental and natural resource science. In the institute graduate students in both doctoral and master's course, undergraduate students and reseaech students, about 20 in total are guided in research thesis. |
