| Our school emblem, created in October 1956, consists of two zelkova leaves and the Chinese characters for“university,”pronounced“daigaku”in Japanese. The zelkova tree is symbolic of the bright future of the university as it grows high up into the sky and also protects us from strong winds. It is said that the emblem invites us to fly up into the sky on the breezes blowing through the zelkova trees. |
