Field Science Center

This institute was completed on the south of the 6th Building of the Faculty of Agriculture in 1996 as a field for education and training to allow trainees to acquire basic operational technique in recombinant DNA technology, RI handling, and in safety management. The laboratories have been prepared for P1, P2, P3 and RI experiments. The principal equipments are a DNA sequencer, a radio-active image analyzer, a nucleic acid data analyzer, a PCR gene amplifier, an ultracentrifuge for preparation, a scintillation counter, an electron microscope, an amino acid sequencer, and a particle gun. Training courses are open to researchers outside the universityField Science Center(FS Center), the parents of which are university farms, university forests and rolling land laboratory, was founded in April, 2000. It covers 5 education and research areas, cycle of resources and materials, natural environment, preservation of wild animals, agriculture and forestry in low mountain area and urban agriculture. Utilizing the various fields such as natural forests, secondary forests, farm lands and urban green tracts located within 100 KM of metropolitan area and integrating diverse views and techniques of environmental science, sciences of biological production, forest science, ecology, veterinary medicine and others, FS Center pursues the ideal relationship between Nature and Man and carries on education and research which aim to solve food and resource problems and establish a resources-recycled society.
