Faculty of Agriculture

@The faculty of agriculture has more than 120 years' history and has established its own tradition. At the same time, its principle has had to have an enterprising spirit, and being always quick to perceive social needs, the faculty has positively reformed its structure, and kept expanding and developing itself. The following table shows the result of these efforts, having a diverse and wide range of specialties to cover not only the original subjects but also humanities and sociology. This fact is highly beneficial to pushing ahead with the education and research which aim at harmonized development of analyses and syntheses of issues of food, resources and environment. This is also the most distinctive feature of this faculty.

@Other features of this faculty are; the system of credit interchange with 5 national universities in the Tama district, the positive driving of international cooperation through 23 sister schools, and field education utilizing nature in the attached institutes outside the campus. Pursuing such plans to enrich education, the faculty is rearing capable people who can meet both domestic and international needs and can play an active part in them.
